About WhatMeds™

WhatMeds™ - Keep track of medications for you and your family.

Knowing what medications you or your family take can help keep everyone safe, but keeping your medication lists up to date is hard. WhatMeds makes it easy to keep track of your medications by helping you fetch your medical information electronically, and by making sharing easy and secure.

Medication Information Access (two options):

  1. Option 1: Medicare.gov - You can use our app to login and automatically retrieve your medication data directly from Medicare via the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Blue Button program.
  2. Option 2: Self-entry - Without typing the entire name of a medication, you can easily add medications right from your mobile phone with a few taps using our intelligent search.
Medications Information Sharing -

You can share your information with the clinic, pharmacy or over telehealth using either the secure WhatMeds QR Code within the app, or on a printed WhatMeds Wallet Card.

  1. From a WhatMeds profile screen, tap the three-dots (⋮) or sharing icon in the upper-right-hand corner to initiate sharing your WhatMeds medications information.
  2. When you are ready to share, show your WhatMeds mobile wallet card or your printed wallet card QR code for the clinician to scan.
  3. You are in control of which medications to share and with whom.
  4. On your phone, you will receive a text message asking you if you would like to share your medication information.
  5. If this is correct and you respond "yes", then your clinician will be allowed to see your medications on their own mobile phone or tablet.
  6. Your clinician will only have temporary access to your information based on the amount of time that you set within the app.

WhatMeds™ - Learn More About Your Own Medications.

Learning about your medications is easier than ever. WhatMeds shares some common safety risks about your medications like possible drug interactions or side effects.

Also, learn which medications might contain sensitive information and why. This helps keep you informed about when certain medications are important to share. Our WhatMeds users can become even more knowledgeable about their health and treatments with the information provided by the app.
